Jamie & Justin are the sweetest! I absolutly loved photographing their wedding in Shanghai and i totally love Jamie’s dress to be honest. The dress is so elegant with its floating one shoulder sleeve and signature draping. See also more of their wedding day moods on the way to Park Hyatt, Shanghai.
Uluwatu Wedding | I always love returning to Bali and this wedding was truly a highlight. It was also the first wedding i photographed on this indonesian island. Indah & Julius decided to have their destination wedding in Uluwatu and it is no doubt is an amazing place. They chose Tirtha Bridal on the clifftops of Uluwatu for their wedding ceremony. Tirtha is a stunning location with gorgeous views and sophisticated modern balinesian architecture. I loved how all the balinese details were beautifully delivered. The wedding reception & portraits took place in Four Seasons Jimbaran.

This sailboat wedding really made me the happiest photographer. I love being on the water and the crew was a crowd of relaxed australians. We all had a pretty good time sailing in the middle of Santorini’s caldera. See the full story of their destination wedding weekend here.
We selected Chris Spira for our photography. I took one look at her images and knew she had to photograph our wedding. Christine’ photos are magical and are seen to capture the sense of euphoria (that I can now confirm) that two people, in love, experience on their wedding days.
How often do you get this? The bride and groom were giving a concert to their guests and half of the bridal party was the band? I thought that is pretty rad. They were amazing! This chic event took place in ‘The Langham’ Shenzhen, which is close to Hong Kong. It was glamourous, emotional and a one-of-a-kind wedding. The weather was amazing. November felt like summer and this couple were like Rockstars.
When Michael & Vien were performing together on stage everyone had happy tears. Especially when they sang: Luckily I ‘m in Love with my best friend. Such cool best friends getting married. I feel incredibly honored to have photographed Vien & Michael’s celebration. This wedding has been featured on Love my Dress and the Wedding Notebook.
A collection of getting ready moments that i photographed over the years. Snippets of anticipation, preparation and beauty happening before the morning of the wedding. I love starting the wedding with this moments, when the day is still in less a more relaxed pace. It feels like the beginning of a story, the start of a book or movie. Telling your story from getting-ready to dancing is the best. Getting Ready Moments should not be missing parts of your story. Photographing these is something that you won’t regret later.
Feel free to plan extra time for a little boudoir session in your bridal lingerie before you get into your wedding dress. Unfortunatly not many bride have time for this, but i think it is totally worth the extra time planned. And i am sure you and your husband will love the result!
This Bayuh Sabbha Wedding was stunning for many reasons. One: the private villa overlooks the cliffs of Uluwatu. Two: the couple and their guests were beautiful and great fun. Claudia’s bespoke wedding dress was designed by Vivian Luk Atelier in Hong Kong. Claudia words about the designer. ‘I’ve had the pleasure to witness the talent of Vivian. she designed two of my best friends’ wedding dresses. There was never any doubt that she would one day design mine too. Not just because she is so talented. Over the last few years admire her grace, strength, generosity and beauty both inside and outside.
A dress she handcrafts is not just a dress; it’s really an experience. Vivian designed a dress that is just so me. Structure, with her signature draping on top and a flowy soft tulle skirt. I felt so light in that dress. My dress personifies me and I love it. It has been an amazing process seeing the sketch come to life.’
Modern bride Shanghai | I love portraits around Shanghai. Its a great city to explore with couples and take vibrant street scenes. Tiffany & Ben live in Hong Kong. They came to Shanghai over the weekend for their engagement images. Shanghai is the city where they met and lived before. I know parts of the city quite well and together we came of with a plan which place we wanted to incorporate in the shoot. The former french concession and the small lanes around Xintianti were definitly on the list. For Tiffany’s portraits we started at the Bund. You can still get to experience street life in the city that exudes a beautiful mix of modern and old. See also the couple portrait session in Shanghai.
Grace Hotel Santorini is a treat for the minimal senses. Its graphic design and interior is reduced to whites, blues and neutral tones. Plus looking at the ocean all day is a an experience that is soothing and refreshing alike. See also this intimate wedding that i photographed at the hotel.
Kirsty & Andrew celebrated their wedding on the private terrace of the hotel. The dinner reception was next to the pool, which has the most amazing sunset light possible. There are many amazing venues in Santorini, but Grace Hotel is one of the stylish highlights of the island if you love small boutique hotels.
