Aiwee & Warren | Le Meridien Koh Samui Wedding

What is your personal opinion and memory you still have of your day?

‘Our vows, I remind myself of our vows everyday. One time after a tiring day, we were in the shower when he repeated his entire speech to me including parts that he intended to say but didn’t, and that made me cry really hard.

Why did you chose Koh Samui?

‘We wanted all our guests to get together for a big holiday and hang out as a big family in somewhere relaxing and calmer, somewhere most people haven’t been to. Ko Samui was a strong choice – relatively easier to travel to and less hustle bustle compared to the more popular Phuket.

The bride wanted lawn overlooking the sea, but it was very difficult to find a location in Samui that can house the number of guests (100) we had, and eventually we chose Le Meridien because of the size, and we also fell in love with The Pier floating in the sea for the ceremony and lawn for the dinner.

He’s Australian, she’s Malaysian, we met in Hong Kong. We met at work, somewhat “love” at first sight (I think, haha. And I don’t believe in love at first sight, we were definitely attracted to each other) but both were too proud to admit it. Depending on who told the story, he’d say I asked him out first but … the truth is…we walked to work a lot together and it blossomed from there. He proposed in Napa Valley after 3 years.

A sentence about working with Chris.

Chris is natural and easy to work with. She’s quiet and sensitive to the environment, which makes her photos very unique. ‘ Aiwee & Warren
