mallorca honeymoon beach session

Mallorca Honeymoon | Strictly love

‘Strictly love’ a Mallorca honeymoon photography session – this couple is channeling rock star vibes and joyful honeymoods.

Inspired by vintage photography taken in the 50s & 60’s i photographed this portrait session at Palma de Mallorca city beach during moody weather. It was the couples’ second honeymoon last November on the spanish island. See also the SECOND PART of the photo series we created at the same honeymoon. And if you still can’t get enough of these two – like myself – check out their destination wedding in Marrakech. There are one of those couples that i could shoot everyday. Not sure what it is exactly that i love about them that, it is most likely that natural heartfelt energy and Gabriella’s effortless beauty. The couple stayed at Hotel  St. Francesc in Palma, an old convent that turned into a 5-Star Hotel.

KIND WORDS

‘I just looked through the photos again and I have to say, I really love the way you edit your pictures. If I didn’t know it was me and Danny, I would think I was looking at a couple from 50 years ago, the photos look so timeless. You really have a talent for this Chris, I feel so lucky that we met you!’ Gab

Gab & Danny | Mallorca Honeymoon Photography

Honeymoon photography | Drifting into serendipity.

Gabriella & Danny chose Mallorca as their second honeymoon destination. Gabriella brought her wedding gown all the way from New York. She put it on for a second time after wearing it for her wedding in the vast desert of Marrakech. Their intimate celebration was one of the most powerful weddings i have photographed so far. Between the sands and the sky, Gab & Danny were facing the stormy winds while exchanging their vows. It was a soulful celebration, connected with the elements which reflected these two adventurers well.

The deserted sands of ‘Es Trenc Beach’ seemed a good reminiscence and perfect location to continue their visual story. How romantic that the beautiful shells and beads on her dress now got sprinkled with the sands of the morocco desert and the majorcan beach.

I love their enthusiasm to explore the island with me, despite the November weather being quite the challenge with some strong winds just hitting the shore. And again – it was just beautiful photographing the energy of these two while they were embracing the winds of the ocean and effortlessly radiating their love. What a beautiful way of jumping right into adventure.

Family Portrait | Mallorca

A family portrait in Mallorca was on my wishlist for a while. I love the island with it’s variety to photograph in. You will very quite and peaceful areas with full privacy and beautiful nature around and Castell Son Claret is one of those places. This is where i met with Mia & Sebi for the portrait session. I already photographed the wedding so i was beyond excited to also photograph their family photos together with bebe. Mia & Sebi live in Zürich and planned a mini vacation on Mallorca where we met. We spent a lovely morning exploring the hotel grounds and drove to the beach afterwards. It was so much fun seeing them again and catching up while taking photos.

Cap Rocat | Mallorca

Wedding moods and ambience photographed in Cap Rocat Mallorca. A luxury hotel and one of the most iconic luxury wedding venues in the balearic islands. Set on an incredibly secluded headland on the Bay of Palma de Mallorca the hotel stunningly blends into the landscape. A decade ago, the magnificent fortress has been totally transformed by architect Antonio Obrador. Also his work of art retained the integrity of its heritage architecture and the vast natural environment. Because of its unique location, the hotel offers absolute privacy, with a variety of private villas offering stunning sea views. An absolute exclusive feel for its guests and perfect weekend escape. If you are seeking an exclusive wedding venue with a distinct mediterranean warmth – this is your place. Oh and there is a majestic view into Palma bay from the beach and pool of the hotel. Floral styling in the images are done by Nadja Rothkirch.

Under the olive trees | Mallorca

Mallorca couple portraits | Images taken in Deia close to where the couple stayed in Hotel Jumeirah Port Soller. See also this session photographed in the hotel. They live in Canada and married in Korea, so they chose Mallorca for taking their pre-wedding photos and to meet with me. They spent three nights pre-honeymoon on the island and were exploring the area with me, which was great fun! It was their first time on Mallorca and they totally love the experience. We first met in the hotel and then drove along the cost a bot.

Amelia & Wooin you were absolutly amazing and i am grateful to have taken your pre-wedding photos.

Amelia & Wooin | Mallorca couple portraits

Jumeirah Mallorca Couple Portraits | Amelia & Wooin are originally from Korea but live in Canada. As world travelers they wanted their couple portraits taken inbetween and were contacting me about my schedule for Europe. When i told them Mallorca is the perfect place they were up for a new adventure. We created these images in their hotel where we started our session. We then went to explore the nearby olive trees closer to Deia. I loved how both of them were so comfortable in front of the camera and relaxed to work with.
